In a number of our videos an electrical device is seen that produces a pink glow in a glass tube. This is referred to as a violet wand. It delivers low current, high voltage, high frequency to the body. Another device called a violet ray is very similar in technology and is actually the predecessor to the modern violet wand.

Many times you can find antique models as the device was commonly marketed as medical device. The list of conditions wands were supposedly able to treat runs long and even includes scalp stimulation. For the past 20 years they have been primarily used as a part of BDSM. Through the 70's and 80's Chicago's Police department allegedly used them as a form of torture on suspects.

While the unit we have in the dungeon produces a pink glow there are others that are blue, red or purple. Along with a variety of colors the glass electrodes come in numerous shapes and sizes. If the glass pieces aren't enough a variety of metal attachments are manufactured including Wartenberg wheels and a contact that makes any touch with the users body deliver a shock.

The arc from the contact generates ozone and nitrogen oxides which can cause a smell if over used and if turned up too high can ignite flammable materials and melt artificial fabrics. So be care while you play.

If you're looking for your own kit, high end toy stores occasionally carry them. But online auction sites are a great place to find antique sets.

The two most popular forms of dedicated fetish wear are leather and latex. When putting together your own wardrobe there are a number of things to consider and many times leather gets argued against for numerous reasons. But many people are unaware that it is possible to have an allergy to natural latex rubber. There isn't a definitive number in the United States it is estimated that less than 1 percent of the general population has any kind of reaction. However it is possible to develop an allergy over time with up to 12 percent of health care staffers becoming sensitive due to increased exposure to latex products.

Type I reactions can be severe and are similar to what some people experience with bee stings. People with this kind of reaction can get a blood test done to be certain. Fortunately this form of reaction is rare.

Type IV  reaction comes from skin contact and appears as a skin rash. It would be similar to poison ivy and there may be a slight delay in it first coming up. Contact tests can be done to verify this.

It is also possible to just be having irritant contact dermatitis. There is the most common negative reaction. It usually shows up on the hands and comes from too frequent washing, use of hand sanitizers and the powder coatings used with gloves. This isn't a true allergy.

If you have any questions always check with a physician. And don't fret that you'll be missing out on anything. There are a number of other alternatives for form fitting fetwear if you do the research into what is most compatible with your taste and health.

A lot of you kinksters have been getting a hold of us here in the dungeon wanting to know if we're going to be doing anything special for the upcoming holidays. If you've been following the site for a while you'll remember all of the updates leading to Halloween. Well as our special present to you we'll be having almost two full weeks of themed clips and photos from Dommes that are brand new to the site. One of those Dommes is Aiden Starr. She was just in the dungeon last night and if you look above you can see she signed a prop from the shoot.
